Interchangeable Counterbores do not follow an industry standard. The placement of the set screw necessary to secure the pilot in place can be in different positions. The flat on the pilot may not be long enough, or in the correct position to accommodate the set screw, and there will be no way to lock the pilot in place. If you are ordering pilots from us for a particular counterbore you own, it is necessary for us to know the set screw's position. The flat of the pilot may need to be modified by adding another flat in proximity to the set screw's location, or the flat's length can be modified to reach the set screw's position as in the example below.
