COUNTERSINKS

Countersinks are use designed to produce accurate center holes in components which require matching between centers.
 

    COMBINED DRILLS & COUNTERSINKS

  • Countersinks - High Speed Steel
    • Plain Type Combined Drills & Countersinks are designed to produce accurate center holes in components which require machining between centers. Sizes #0 to #000 are often referred to as Missile & Aircraft series.
  • Countersinks - M42 Cobalt
    • Plain Type Combined Drills & Countersinks are designed to produce accurate center holes in components which require machining between centers. Sizes #0 to #000 are often referred to as Missile & Aircraft series.
  • Countersinks - Solid Carbide
    • Plain Type Combined Drills & Countersinks are designed to produce accurate center holes in components which require machining between centers. Sizes #0 to #000 are often referred to as Missile & Aircraft series.
  • Countersinks - High Speed Steel (Long Length)
    • Long Length provides access to areas where standard lengths will not reach.
  • Countersinks - Bell Type
    • Bell Type Combined Drills & Countersinks have an additional small 120° chamfer to protect the edges of the 60° hole.
  • Countersinks - Sets - Vinyl Pouch
    • 5 Piece Sets.

    FLUTED COUNTERSINKS

  • Zero Flute (Deburring) Countersink
    • Zero flute countersinks are designed for countersinking and deburring operations.   The single cutting edge removes stock quickly and prevents chatter.  They can be resharpened by using an Axial Relieving Fixture or by using a small mounted grinding wheel and inserting it into the hole.
  • Single Flute Countersink
    • Single flute countersinks should be used when multi-flute countersinks chatter or the hole is too small for a multi-flute countersink to enter. Use for machine and portable work when operating at higher speeds. Drilled hold should be at least 10% of the diameter of the countersink.
  • Three Flute (Center Reamer) Countersink
    • Three flute countersinks should be used at a slower (1/2 to 2/3 the speed used for drilling) speed. Recommended for machine and portable work. Because of their centering ability they are widely used in portable applications.
  • Four Flute (Machine) Countersink
    • Four flute machine countersinks have a longer shank for use in Turret lathes and for screw machine works.
  • Six Flute (Chatterless) Countersink
    • Six flute countersinks are designed for fast shearing cuts.

    • SOLID CARBIDE COUNTERSINKS

  • Single Flute Countersink
    • Solid Carbide Single Flute Countersinks are used for softer materials.
  • Three Flute Countersink
    • Solid Carbide Single Flute Countersinks are used for general purpose work.
  • Six Flute Countersink
    • Solid Carbide Single Flute Countersinks are used for hardened steels and metals.
