- Tap (3-In-1) Tree
- Tap Trees are designed for cleaning and quick
threading of electrical boxes, light fixtures, thin metals, and plastics. Tap
blade is replaceable.
SPIRAL POINT TAPS
- Spiral Point Taps -
High Speed Steel
- Spiral point taps are ideal for machine tapping
through holes or blind holes with adequate bottom clearance. They
are called "Gun Taps" because they shoot the
chips ahead of the tap. This also reduces loading and clogging in the
flutes.
- Spiral Point Taps -
Tin Coated
- Spiral point taps are ideal for machine tapping
through holes or blind holes with adequate bottom clearance. They
are called "Gun Taps" because they shoot the
chips ahead of the tap. This also reduces loading and clogging in the

- Spiral Point Taps
(Metric) - TiN Coated
- Spiral point taps are ideal for machine tapping
through holes or blind holes with adequate bottom clearance. They
are called "Gun Taps" because they shoot the
chips ahead of the tap. This also reduces loading and clogging in the
flutes.
- Spiral Point Taps -
+.005 Oversize Taps
- Oversize Spiral Point Taps are used primarily
where a piece will be plated or heat treated after tapping. They
are also used when tapping plastics or zinc alloys where it is difficult
to maintain the proper tapped hole size because of abrasion or shrinkage.
- Spiral Point Taps -
Cobalt (CNC)
- Cobalt CNC Spiral Point Taps are designed
for tapping difficult applications such as heat treated steels up
to 45 RC, tool steels, and other tough alloys. The were
specifically developed for use on CNC equipment.
- Spiral Point
Extension Taps
- Spiral Point Extension Taps are designed for deep hole tapping where the work requires
an undercut shank to follow through hole.
- Spiral Point Pulley
Taps
- Spiral Point Pulley Taps are used for tapping the hubs of pulleys for oil caps or set
screws. The long shank is also ideal for reaching holes inaccessible with standard length
taps. Thread length is the same length as a standard hand tap.
- Spiral Point Pulley
Taps - Metric
- Metric Spiral Point Pulley Taps are used for tapping the hubs of pulleys for oil caps or
set screws. The long shank is also ideal for reaching holes inaccessible with standard
length taps. Thread length is the same length as a standard hand tap.
SPIRAL FLUTED TAPS
- Spiral Fluted Taps -
Fast
- These taps have continuous fast spiral flutes to lift and discharge chips from deep
blind holes in softer metals.
- Spiral Fluted Taps -
Regular
- Regular Spiral Fluted Taps have 30° spiral
flutes to lift and discharge chips from deep blind holes in steels
and tough grades of aluminum.

spiral flutes to lift and discharge chips from deep blind holes in
tough alloys and stainless steels. They were specifically
developed for use on CNC equipment.
PULLEY TAPS
- Pulley Taps
- Pulley taps are used for tapping the hubs
of pulleys for oil caps or set screws. The long shank is also ideal
for reaching holes inaccessible with standard length taps. Thread
length is the same length as a standard hand tap. Tap shanks will not
follow through on sizes below 7/16".
- Pulley Taps - Metric
- Metric Pulley taps are used for tapping the
hubs of pulleys for oil caps or set screws. The long shank is also
ideal for reaching holes inaccessible with standard length taps.
Thread length is the same length as a standard hand tap. Tap shanks
will not follow through on sizes below 7/16".
NUT TAPS
- Nut Taps
- Nut taps, as the name implies, were designed for tapping nuts. Now most large production
nut tapping jobs are done with bent shank nut taps. These taps are now used mainly for
deep hole tapping where the work requires a tap with a long undercut shank and greater
thread length.
THREAD FORMING TAPS
- Thread Forming Taps
- Thread Forming Taps are designed fro cold
forming threads in ductile materials such as aluminum, copper, brass,
zinc, low carbon steels, and 303, 303 stainless steels.
They displace metal rather than remove it, therefore, countersinking
before or after tapping is recommended.
TANDEM STYLE "ACME" TAPS
- Tandem
Style
"Acme" Taps
- Acme screw threads were designed for producing
traversing motion on machines, and for mechanisms where heavy loads
are encountered. Tandem style tap has roughing and
finishing section and produces threads from 10° to 30° in a single pass without a
leadscrew. Designed to produce a class 2G fit.
